BATTLE OF THE BROADCASTERS 2014

Hot off the press! Rob Beckett announced as Battle of the Broadcasters 2014 host!

We can now reveal that one of the most up and coming comedy talents on TV will be hosting this event! Rob Beckett – host of ITV2’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! NOW! and every comedy panel show worth its salt will be presiding over all the fun of this unmissable evening of TV-based trivia.

Is your TV knowledge unrivalled? Can you tell your Strictly Come Dancing from your Come Dine With Me? Do you know more about the TV landscape than TV’s top commissioners and executives?  Now’s the chance to prove it …

Back by popular demand, this spectacular event sees representatives from each of the nation’s biggest broadcasters go head-to-head in a clash of televisual trivia as they take on pub-quiz style questions across a series of rounds.

Last time Channel 4 took the crown in a fiercely fought contest. This year the competition will be even more fierce.  BBC, BSkyB, Channel 4, ITV, MTV, UKTV and Discovery – are all setting out to take the title for the honour of their broadcaster, and prove that when it comes to knowing the medium, no-one knows it better than they do.

But TV’s big cheeses won’t be alone… helping them will be YOU, the RTS Futures members.

Ticket-holders will each be given the chance to join one of the broadcasters’ tables and play on their team for the entire evening, wowing them with their extraordinary recollection of TV tidbits. The RTS Futures members on the winning table will win a prize that would turn even the most experienced telly-types green with envy – coffee with Zai Bennett, Controller of BBC Three. If ever there’s been a reason to watch more TV this is it!

In addition to the quiz this informal setting offers RTS Futures members the unique chance to talk to experts about their career conundrums; question execs about their own experiences of the industry; and to hear first-hand what being a head honcho at a broadcaster is actually about.

Battle of the Broadcasters is an unrivalled opportunity to get up close and personal with the people who keep the wheels of the TV industry turning in a fun and easy-going way.

Don’t miss out.
