A free, intensive training day for new entrants to film and TV drama is taking place on Tuesday 18th June 2013 on the ‘Waterloo Road’ unit in Greenock.

This course is funded via a partnership of the Scottish Union Learning Fund, European Social Fund and Shed Media Scotland.
This training is brought to you by BECTU ~ promoting Union Learning.


• If you want to break into film and television drama…then this is the course for you. This one day intensive training course consists of a series of practical exercises which will equip you with the knowledge, tools and experience to help you break into the industry.
• Devised and tutored by industry professionals, the course focuses on entry level positions in drama production and specifically the role of the Runner. It’s very informal and a lot of fun too.

Who is this course for:
Designed for people at the start of their career who have been trying to get a foot in the door and secure their first job, as well as those with a couple of credits looking to improve their professional practice and fill the gaps in their understanding of how it all works.
– Applicants must be resident in Scotland,and must not be in full-time education.
– Successful participants will also be able to apply for a new scheme, Screen NETS Runner, which offers a one week paid work experience placement on a film or television drama in Scotland
