Head of Production, Premier League Productions


Position:           Head of Production

Contract:          Permanent


Premier League Productions (PLP) have an exciting senior opportunity to join the team as Head of Production where you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day production operations of the department.  The HOP will be part of the PLP Management team working with a large degree of autonomy. 


We are looking for a great communicator who thinks outside the box, with a real drive & passion for what they do & enjoys working with, and developing, a large team across a broad portfolio.    


Premier League Productions are proud to be the production partner to the most watched football league in the world. Globally, we broadcast to 190 out of 193 UN member states, serve over 100 broadcast partners and our work is available to 704million homes.  Our wide array of high quality output includes live matches, digital content, studio shows, promos and magazine programming, all delivered across multiple platforms.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all deliverables are met on budget and fully compliant (incl H&S, legal, internal policies etc)
  • Lead & manage key commercial relationships with 3rd party suppliers
  • Working with the Director of Production to embed an inclusive culture @ PLP
  • Supporting and driving CSR & other initiatives across the department
  • Developing & supporting the wider Production Management Team 


Required Skills and Experience

  • Resilient and calm under pressure / when dealing with complex issues
  • Experience at a Snr level (Prod Exec or above) with considerable experience of managing legal, commercial, H&S & compliance aspects within a range of production environments
  • Effective communicator with the ability to quickly build positive working relationships both internally & externally
  • Proven experience of leading & developing a team with an inclusive approach
  • Ability to drive through & adapt to new technology/workflows



PLEASE NOTE: This is permanent role based at Stockley Park, Uxbridge. The successful candidate may be required to work occasional weekends and unsocial hours as well as over the seasonal holidays. Some travel to national outside broadcasts may be necessary.
