Producer  – Good Morning Britain

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

London

Are you a producer or journalist who thrives on the buzz of working within a live news environment? Do you have an abundance of ideas for TV programme content? Can you inform, entertain and enthuse our audience as they begin their day? If the answer is yes, we have a fantastic opportunity to join the Bafta-nominated team on Good Morning Britain.

As Output Producer you will be at the very heart of the team who put together 3 hours of live television every morning. Working closely with our Assistant Editors and News Editors you will suggest story ideas, develop creative treatments, book and brief guests, write scripts, cut pictures and edit VTs.

You will have experience of working within a television newsroom with a track record of dealing with breaking news and developing stories to take them to air. You will be able to demonstrate that you have successfully pitched original ideas and creative treatments; and that you can get the best out of presenters and correspondents on air.

You will be passionate about news and current affairs and have good knowledge of the issues that matter to our viewers. You’ll be an avid consumer of media from Instagram to the FT. An ability to shoot and edit your own material will be highly advantageous.

Good Morning Britain is on air five days a week, including bank holidays. You will be required to work shifts including overnights and some Sundays. We are open to discussing flexible working and job sharing.

So, if you thrive in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same and you possess the journalistic skills that will help us achieve our goals, then we’d love to hear from you. Apply here
