Production Executives

Full time, starting in September/October 2020

Based at office near Old St, London N1 but working from home initially due to Covid-19 restrictions

Salary according to skills and experience

The British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust is a young, successful charity with an ambitious agenda. Funded by commercial broadcasters, we commission television programmes made in British Sign Language and we support the companies and Deaf programme-makers who produce them.

We are looking for two Production Executives to join our Commissioning and Content team. Reporting to the Head of Commissioning, you will work alongside two Executive Producers and have oversight of all BSLBT programmes from development, commission and through to delivery.

Please go to https://www.bslzone.co.uk/about/recruitment/production-executives for the full role description and person specification. Please also look at our website and social media to get a full picture of who we are and what we do.

For this new role we are looking for people with at least 10-15 years’ experience as a Production Executive/ Line Producer/ Senior Production Manager in broadcast television, across different genres, production companies and commissioners, who have worked across all stages of projects, from development to delivery. In addition you need to have experience of managing complex relationships and complex issues, highly developed communication and collaborative skills, as well as the ability to undertake an effective overview while at the same time paying attention to necessary detail. And of course you should have an interest in BSL Zone content, and, if you are not a British Sign Language user, a willingness to learn conversational BSL

BSLBT particularly welcomes applicants from people of BAME heritage.

To apply, please send a relevant CV plus a letter (no more than two A4 pages) explaining how you are suitable for this role to recruitment@bslbt.co.uk by 1200 on Wednesday 9th September. Interviews will be held remotely by Zoom due to current Covid-19 restrictions.
