Job Title Producer
Department Premier League Productions (Studio Programming)

Main Purpose of Job Taking editorial control and to prepare, plan and output a live studio show (or shows) on the Premier League Content Service. Helping to oversee a team of assistant producers and editorial assistants

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
 To oversee the production and editorial of a live studio programme (or programmes) on the Premier League Content Service
 To prepare running orders, brief the editorial team, liaise with talent and “gallery produce” programmes
 To deliver live studio programmes on time and on budget
 To assist in the definition of the editorial content and direction of the live programme
 Forward planning, ideas generation and the ability to think creatively
 Liaison with the Talent producer, over talent delivery for the live Studio programmes
 Line management and on-the job training for production team members including Assistant Producers and Editorial Assistants
 Ensuring assistant producers are on top of all their key responsibilities
 Responsible for adhering to compliance guidelines for broadcasters/client as appropriate

 Required to respond to the needs of the Premier League calendar
 Often unsocial hours, weekend working and some regional travel

Person Specification

Knowledge and Experience
 Excellent knowledge of Premier League football
 Previous experience as a Producer within a major sports television production team
 An extensive portfolio of work covering various types of football programming
 An understanding of all the operational and logistical requirements of live television studio programming
 Experience of dealing with Talent (e.g. Presenters, Commentators, Sports Personalities)
 An excellent contacts book
 Proven history of performance/appraisal management with the ability to offer training solutions

 Previous experience of working in a live OB football environment

Skills and Abilities
 Good organisation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
 An ability to work collectively in a team environment.
 Experience managing production teams.
 Experience in producing running orders and dealing with all aspects of live TV production.

Qualifications and Training
 Health & Safety training in Production

 Management Training
 First Aid trained
 Full clean driving license
 Degree level education

 Keen interest in and knowledge of Premier League football
 Excellent interpersonal and management skills
 Works effectively as part of a team
