Studio Audio Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Audio Engineer, you will mix sound from many different sources using a digital audio mixer. You will be expected to have in-depth knowledge of mics, radio mics, intercom systems, 4-wire comms and clean feeds. You will need to be able to react to a fast changing programme with an ability to concentrate for long periods. The role will help to ensure cost-effective delivery of a high quality sound and communications service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To provide professional audio broadcast services
  • To control audio from multiple sources to provide a cohesive and balanced programme sound mix to the viewer
  • To use communications systems to facilitate effective operations in production areas.
  • To assist in the implementation of audio facilities for new programmes and special events
KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • Proven commitment to making innovative television news
  • Experience of an international news environment
  • Ability to maintain a consistent programme style
  • Proactive approach, committed to continuous improvement and self-motivation
  • An effective communicator
  • The ability to anticipate and react quickly in a fast-paced news environment
  • Minimum of one years experience
Job details:
– Central London location
– Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 (may change)
– Rolling contract with 4 weeks notice
– Salary on application
– Start date: 15 April 2019
