Production Manager – Emmerdale

Emmerdale has a vacancy for the role of Production Manager working to the Senior Production Manager. The role will be to manage the day to day production filming requirements of Emmerdale, in order to successfully deliver the editorial, production and financial objectives.

Communicating with a range of internal and external people, including staff and freelance crew, cast, contractors, managers and members of the production team, this role will take responsibility for the management of production blocks, including prep, whilst supervising the Production Coordinators on the relevant Unit.

It will be the first point of call for Production Coordinators and Assistant Directors when problems arise on the block. Responsibilities will include attending recce meetings, advising as appropriate, and taking responsibility for block budgets. Liaising with the Finance team to report any concerns and making sure any additional costs are justified and in line with budgetary constraints and discussed with the Senior PM.

Attending all meetings necessary to satisfactorily carry out the position, the role will work closely with all Heads of Departments to ensure that blocks are being managed within the financial and editorial constraints. Working alongside the SPM, the role will encompass regular briefings with the production team to ensure the effective flow of information. In addition, the ability to take responsibility for external projects and assist with the coordinating of any ITV corporate/marketing shoots, promos etc when required.

The successful person will have a proven track record of working within a TV Drama production environment with production management responsibility, experience of working in a pressurised and challenging TV office environment with proven organisational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload and that of team members.You will possess the ability to manage relationships, and to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team and be able to influence and motivate others.

The role works to production schedules as required, including working night shoots, weekend and bank holidays so flexibility and adaptability are required as there are often last minute changes.
